Dear person who keeps Googling “cautionary girl password”:

Just ask.

That’s all it takes.

I promise I won’t make you prove your worthiness or jump through hoops.  I might request that you ask nicely, because I don’t really want any meanies reading my most private thoughts (which is part of the reason I decided to password-protect).  But other than that, just the fact that you want it is enough reason for me to give it to you.

I know it’s a pain in the ass.  I’m sorry.  But it’s better this way for those of us involved in the real Cautionary Life.

So go on.  You know you want to.
